Maternity Studio Session-What To Bring

If you have booked a photography maternity session with Baby Bliss Studio, LLC,  then this blog post is for you! I am here to make sure we capture how beautiful you are during your pregnancy (even when sometimes you don't feel like it).  

I have over 20+ different pieces and luxury dresses in my client wardrobe to help bring your vision to life. Being a client, you are able to come in prior to your session to try on outfits or dresses to know exactly what fits you the best. 

Most clients still bring one dress to the studio that they have selected and purchased. At the bottom I will list some of my favorite places for dresses. Always check with me prior to purchasing, that I do not own the outfit. 

Please tell me what YOU have envisioned. This is your moment. Let me know your expectations. Think about what you want! Do you want your belly out? Are you comfortable being naked? Are you going for lifestyle, fantasy, modern or classic? 

Make a vision board from Instagram or Pinterest if you are having a hard time deciding what you would like, and we can work together.

For higher packages and if it has been added to your package, hair and make-up can be done at the studio for easy transition. 

Additional items that are helpful during your session:

Black, nude and white underwear 

Strapless bra or gel nipple pasties (you don't have to wear a bra if you are comfortable)

A pair of jeans (maternity or ones that you can pull up over your hips and leave open)

Hair brush & make-up

A few pieces of jewelry

Snacks if you have special diet restrictions.

FAQ

When should I get my maternity photos done?

• The best time to take your photos is in your third trimester between 32-35 weeks. During this time your bump should be showing well, and you have not gotten to the extremely uncomfortable period. If you have any risk of preterm labor, please let me know.

Can I use a tanner before my pictures?

• I would discourage you from using any self-tanners or lotions prior to any session. These tend to photograph with an orange tinge that can look unnatural. 

Can I bring any items with me?

• Of course! If there is a special item, ultrasound picture, cute little boots or anything else that is meaningful to you then we can work them into the images. 

My partner wants to come, is that ok?

• I love capturing images with your partner. Children can come as well. However, I suggest after children's photos are taken that they leave so we can focus on you!
